What are AAPS Communities

AAPS Communities unite members with a common interest in a specific topic in a web-based, always-available, virtual environment. Members who participate in communities are able to access and develop learning opportunities that fit their needs; to build relationships with others who work in specialized areas; and to participate in open, dynamic conversations about challenges, opportunities, and trends.

Why join an AAPS Community

AAPS Communities allow you to:
• Discuss and learn from others about topics and challenges in your field.
• Network with fellow AAPS members who share a common focus.
• Problem solve with experts and find solutions to your latest work challenge with fresh ideas.

Most AAPS Communities are reserved for members, but you can get a feel for the Communities by participating in the general community.

Changes for 2026

AAPS restructured the Communities to make the organization easier to understand and participate in for the thousands of scientists who belong to the organization. The scientific focus of the new Communities is much broader and larger in scope to minimize overlap between Communities and to foster more connection and networking among members with the same scientific interests. AAPS members can participate and belong to as many Communities as they like.
