Silica nanopariticles (SNPs) have been explored recently as novel carriers for oral delivery of biologics. In this paper, physiological challenges associated with oral deliver of biologic therapeutics are enumerated, following which, a description of the versatility of SNPs to mitigate said obstacles is given. Lastly, strategies of implementing biologic loaded SNPs in a clinical setting are discussed.
