AAPS Topical & Transdermal Community Webinar
When:
Sep 30, 2022 from 12:00 to 13:00 (ET)
Associated with
Topical and Transdermal Community
Microneedles remain a promising approach for transdermal delivery of a broad range of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for chronic and acute disease states. Successful delivery of drugs, vaccines, biologics, and macromolecules with microneedles depends on characteristics of both the microneedles and the API formulation. Further, these characteristics directly influence clinical use of microneedles and need to be considered early in development so therapies can be optimized for specific disease states and patient populations of interest. In this presentation, topics relating to general formulation properties impacting microneedle drug delivery and the resulting impact on clinical use of microneedles will be reviewed.
