Fit-For-Purpose Assay Qualification of Cell and Tissue samples (Open Scientific Discussion Forum)
Thurs, June 3, 2021 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (EDT)

Presenters:

Eric Thomas, PhD - Eric is a graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (BS, Chemistry) and the University of Michigan (PhD, Medicinal Chemistry).  He worked in the field of proteomics for 7 years at the University of Illinois and the Moffitt Cancer Center prior to joining Covance in 2011.  Biomarkers and protein mass spectrometry remain among his key interests.  He is currently Director of Method Development and Validation for Global Bioanalytical Services at Covance.
Kristopher King, MBA - Kristopher King is a Program Manager at Valo. He has over 13 years of experience specializing in discovery and GLP mass spectrometric assays for small molecules and biomarkers at CROs (Tandem Labs 2007-2011) and pharmaceutical companies (Biogen 2012-2021).
Deqing Xiao - Deqing is currently a Senior Research Scientist at Gilead Sciences, serving as a scientific lead in bioanalytical chemistry for multiple projects, particularly in antiviral and liver disease therapeutic areas, in-line with global regulatory standards for quality and compliances.

Moderators:
Enaksha Wickremsinhe, PhD - Enaksha is a Research Advisor at Eli Lilly and Company with over 20 years of bioanalytical experience in quantitative LC/MS/MS supporting all phases of drug development (discovery through clinical development).  His expertise includes microsampling, patient centric sampling, pediatric studies, and fit-for-purpose bioanalyses.  He is also experienced as an ADME project leader responsible for the development of several oncology assets.
Brian Geist, PhD - Brian is currently a Scientific Director at Janssen BioTherapeutics (JBIO), a division of Janssen Research & Development, where he leads a group that develops bioanalytical methods used to evaluate the pharmacokinetic attributes of biotherapeutic molecules. His primary function is focused on identifying lead drug candidates and establishing PK/PD relationships during discovery and non-clinical development through in vivo pharmacokinetics, disposition, biotransformation, and biodistribution.
