FREE Monthly Webinar Series on Derm Drug Development
The AAPS Topical and Transdermal Community is launching a free monthly webinar series open to all (not just AAPS members). This series covers different aspects of topical dermatological drug development, from the fundamentals of dosage forms and dosage form selection, through in vitro, in silico and in vivo evaluation, scale-up and manufacturing, commercialization and regulatory considerations.
Webinar # 1: Topical Dosage Forms and Formulations

This webinar will provide a basic overview of different topical dosage forms, including Creams, Lotions, PEG and Petrolatum-Based Ointments, Gels, Solutions, Pastes, Patches, and Microneedles. Prof. Michniak will also discuss how chemical and physical characteristics influence dosage form design function and performance (e.g., discussing solubility, stability, permeation enhancement, residence time at application site, greasiness, patient considerations, etc.). This webinar introduces concepts that provide the foundation for subsequent webinars in the series.
