    Good morning,

I am assisting a colleague who is mentoring to Dr Laurent Dembele of the Malaria Research and Training Center (MRTC) of the Université des Sciences, des Techniques et des Technologies de Bamako (USTTB) within the African country of Mali.  This institute was formed with NIH partnership. One of Dr. Laurent's interests:  How to reach out to the US charity funding groups that donate money for malaria or similar disease research, particularly for lab equipment (Imaging, Milli-Q water purification, microscope, freezer, cell culture equipment etc

Any suggestions/insights would be most appreciated!  Thanks in advance, Chris

Since of course I must mention the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, I would like to reiterate to Dr. Dembele and others that that BMGF is focusing on expanding the grants issued directly to innovators in the regions, so now is an excellent time to apply for funding directly.
