Perhaps this specific tube would meet your needs and provide adequate stability/improved recovery, but you would need to know what this prioritory mixture of inhibitors are so that you can ensure the matrix used for calibration standards and quality controls for your validated or qualified method include this same mixture in the same proportions.

Yes Agree to Robert´s answer. The P800 tubes would suit your need.

There are a few commercial vendors who manufacture blood collection tubes with protease inhibitor cocktails included. I'm not sure if they would cover your specific anlayte, but you could order and test with your custom collection tube to confirm. You can look up BD hemoguard tubes, or P800 tubes. I believe there are a few other types as well. In my experience, prepping custom tubes is possible but can be tedious and lead to variability in your measurements if not well controlled.

I am wondering if the community has recommendations regarding custom preparation of blood collection tubes for serum/plasma to include protease inhibitors? We have observed improved recovery of our analyte when adding protease inhibitor cocktail directly to serum/plasma, but are now considering how to implement this to site collection tubes. Are there specific protease inhibitor cocktail reagents/vendors others have used successfully? Are there any other considerations to keep in mind for custom tube preparation in general?
