I'm excited to share our recent work published in the European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences:

It is about predicting in vitro dissolution of poorly water-soluble drugs in surfactant media. Using a particle size distribution-based film model and two competing diffusion layer thickness approaches (fixed vs. radius-dependent), we successfully predicted dissolution profiles of posaconazole, ritonavir, and griseofulvin in buffers and various surfactant solutions (SLS, PS80, POE10, CTAB).

    ✅ Highlights:

    • Accurate prediction using entire particle size distribution

    • Fixed diffusion layer thickness (12 µm) showed better predictive accuracy

Always happy to discuss more on particle dissolution prediction!
