Please join us for an Open Scientific Discussion (OSD) hosted by the AAPS Biological Product Attributes and Biological Consequences Community on January 09, 2024, 12pm – 1pm ET on the following topic:

Analysis of 'Unwanted Particles' in the presence of 'Wanted Particles'

Similar to biologics, particulate impurities are a concern for gene and cell therapy products that are injected into patients. But how to analyze process-related and product-related particulate impurities (i.e., unwanted particles) in the presence of virions or cells (i.e., wanted particles)? I will introduce this analytical challenge on the example of virus and cells and will raise a few questions to stir the subsequent open scientific discussion based on selected analytical methods.
