Nov 7th Nano leadership team meeting highlights:
Mitra Mosharraf, the chair of the Nano community, led the meeting, outlining the agenda, which included discussing the new leadership team, highlights from the Nano community meeting at the AAPS PharmSci 360 conference in Salt-Lake City, welcoming new members, and setting goals for the year. Fan Zhang, the new secretary, introduced himself. New members like Achref Cherif, Qingxin Mu, Tanner Corrado, and Amy Alston shared their backgrounds. The 2024-2025 community goals were reviewed. The community aims to have six scientific webinars, two publications, and a newsletter. Upcoming webinars include strategies for cancer nanomedicine and in vivo therapeutic nucleic acid delivery. The team discussed the importance of student engagement and volunteer roles for community activities and posts. A newsletter sub-team was formed. Zijing Xu will set up a meeting with all volunteers and discuss the format of the newsletter team. Potential future speakers and events were also discussed.
