My name is Susana Catacora-Lopez, and I am an Immunoassay Manager at Integrated Biotherapeutics, a contract research organization (CRO) supporting biotech and pharmaceutical companies across preclinical and clinical development, including vaccine programs. Our work supports in vivo studies, immunoassays, and cell-based assays, along with the development and supply of antibodies and proteins for research and clinical applications. I have had the opportunity to contribute to the characterization of several of these products, which has been both technically rewarding and impactful.
What excites me most about my work is being part of projects that ultimately help guide the right therapy, dose, or vaccine to patients. This connection to global health continues to motivate me to stay engaged, collaborative, and committed to advancing science within the broader community.
Outside of work, I enjoy meditation, reading across a variety of genres, and hiking. I am also an enthusiastic learner and currently learning French-slowly, but truly enjoying the journey.

Subject: (My) Member Introduction
I'd like to encourage everyone - old and new members alike - to post a quick introduction. Here's mine:
My name is Erica Schlesinger, I serve as VP of Technology Development at Serán Bioscience, a CDMO located in Bend, Oregon that specializes in drug product development & manufacturing. My day job doesn't tie directly to Global Health, but I'm passionate about how drug product design, delivery, and formulation can be leveraged to meet unmet medical needs across the globe. Early in my career, I served as a Peace Corps volunteer teaching high school chemistry in Mozambique and experienced first-hand the challenges in access, education, and compliance that went along with pharmaceutical intervention. I have a strong interest not just in the design and distribution of effective pharmaceutical products for unmet need, but also in capacity building to bring pharmaceutical sciences and manufacturing to LMICs. When I'm not focused on science and engineering, I enjoy hiking, trail running, and equine activities.
