We are pleased that Dr. Tze Ning Hiew from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy will be presenting a webinar on Formulation High Drug Loading Amorphous Dispersions through Co-precipitation on July 25. The webinar is open for registration through the AAPS Learning Center.
This webinar will be a discussion of co-precipitation as a strategy to increase the drug loading of amorphous dispersion formulations while ensuring good drug release. The focus will center on exploring the interplay between processing conditions, particle surface composition, and drug release performance. The discussion will include how the selection of formulation and processing parameters influences the particle morphology of co-precipitated amorphous dispersions, such as particle morphology and bulk density. Also to be discussed are the advantages of using a hierarchical particle strategy to generate co-precipitated amorphous dispersions and how these advantages contribute to improved in vivo drug release performance.
