Dear CMC Community Colleagues:
The CMC community has two leadership opportunities available for 2024.
The first position is a Learning Opportunities Manager (more than one position). It is a great opportunity to collaborate with other scientific professionals to drive the development of learning opportunities (such as planning topics for virtual panel discussions). There are several members who already participate in this function and it is great to have additional support! The position details are listed below:
- Identify the scientific interests and challenges facing members of the community and develop learning opportunities to assist pharmaceutical scientists in these areas.
- Drive the development of learning opportunities by serving as the organizer or by recruiting subject matter experts to serve as organizers.
- Solicit community members to contribute as volunteers whenever it is feasible.
- Collaborate with other AAPS communities, as warranted.
- Submit ideas and/or proposals to AAPS staff for obtaining the appropriate approval.
- Monitor progress of content development.
- Scan content being developed by AAPS and external markets to avoid duplication of efforts.
The second position is a Member Engagement Manager (more than one position). Our goal is to have an impact with online scientific conversations. The people in this role will assist in sharing published information and driving online discussions within the CMC Community. The position details are listed below:
- Stimulate interest, enthusiasm, and energy in the online community platform.
- Drive online discussions by posting new questions to build member engagement.
- Manage discussions by ensuring that all messages receive a response.
- Moderate discussions and library files to ensure that the community guidelines are respected.
- Flag posts that violate the Code of Conduct and notify the community chair and AAPS communities staff if this occurs.
