As a medicinal chemist by training, one blog I have followed for about the past ten years now is In The Pipeline by Derek Lowe (https://www.science.org/blogs/pipeline). I highly recommend for anyone either working or interested in the (bio)pharmaceutical industry, bookmark this blog and check it out at least once a week - it always has fantastic information regarding the latest happenings in the industry.
A post from November 2023 caught my eye this morning as I was looking back through the posts - The Current Industry Landscape. This post and the referenced J Med Chem editorial regarding the current industrial landscape for medicinal chemists is very intriguing. I recommend reading for anyone interested in learning more about what is needed for success in today's biotech industry!
