    Become an Editor in an AAPS Book Series: Introductions in the Pharmaceutical Sciences

    Pharmaceutical and related scientists with a strong background in pharmaceutical sciences can now apply to be volume Editors of a book for the AAPS Introductions in the Pharmaceutical Sciences book series partnered by AAPS and Springer.  

    The AAPS Introductions in the Pharmaceutical Sciences book series support pharmaceutical scientists at the point of knowledge transition. Whether shifting between positions, business models, research project objectives, or at a crossroads in professional development, scientists need to retool to meet the needs of the new scientific challenges ahead of them.

    • Winning Grants, authored by Sean Ekins.
    • Drug Product Manufacturing Technology Transfer – Transfer 1(b), edited by A.B. Pazhayattil, S. Sharma, J.P. Philip, M. Gischewski, and M. Ingram.
    • Advances in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics, edited by P. Macheras.

    Scope of the Book: The book aims to provide a comprehensive overview of recent advancements and emerging trends in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. It will cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

    • Pharmaceutical formulation and drug delivery systems
    • Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
    • Drug discovery and development
    • Pharmacology and toxicology
    • Pharmaceutical analysis and quality control
    • Regulatory affairs and pharmaceutical industry guidelines
    • Clinical pharmacy and patient care
    • Pharmaceutical biotechnology and nanotechnology
    • Pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine
    • Herbal and alternative medicine
    • Pharmaceutical Education and research methodologies

    Proposal Guidelines: Interested editors should submit a detailed proposal that includes the following information:

    Book outline: Present a tentative table of contents and chapter summary, outlining the structure and contents of the book. Indicate any specific areas of focus or unique features that will be incorporated.

    Timeline: Provide an estimated timeline for the editing process, including key milestones such as chapter submission deadlines, review periods, and the final submission date.

    Selection Process: All submitted proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee of experts in the field. The selection will be based on the editor's qualifications, experience, proposed editorial approach, and the purpose of the book proposal. The selected editor will be notified by the notification date mentioned above.
