Discovery and Preclinical Research Community

Dear Formulation & Delivery Community Members,

AAPS recently introduced a new science-focused community structure and established the Formulation & Delivery Community, which comprises six scientific focus areas. I am pleased to contribute to this AAPS community by serving as the lead for the Formulation & Delivery of Small Molecules Focus Group (FG).

This FG advances formulation strategies for small-molecule therapeutics across multiple routes of administration. Key areas also include integrating modeling, NAMs, AI/ML, and PAT to accelerate formulation development and characterization. To support these efforts, we will establish sub-teams focused on scientific writing, programming, and scientific exchange. Activities include peer-reviewed publications, newsmagazine articles, webinars, submissions to AAPS programming, scientific exchanges with members, and collaboration with other AAPS Communities and FGs to advance formulation and delivery science.
