The interplay between brain aging and extracellular vesicles (EVs) is a fascinating and crucial area of research, uncovering both opportunities and challenges in leveraging EVs for therapeutic applications. Aging significantly influences the biogenesis, composition, and functionality of EVs, which in turn play a dual role: contributing to neurodegenerative processes while also promoting neuroprotection. Gaining a deeper understanding of these mechanisms is essential for designing effective strategies to mitigate the negative impacts of brain aging.

My research focuses on exploring how brain aging affects EV function and examining the dual significance of EVs in brain aging. Specifically, I aim to highlight their roles in both neuroprotection and the propagation of age-related pathologies. I look forward to receiving constructive feedback from fellow researchers to refine and advance this work.
