Last week, the deadline was extended to Friday, July 14 2023.
There is a drug dissolution (and more) competition! It is called the Dissolution Research Presentation International (DRPI-US) Competition. This online event aims to foster innovation and excellence in dissolution research in the United States.
For folks in the US, please check out: https://drpi.spds.world/us
The US abstract submission deadline is July 14 2023. Event is sponsored by Society for Pharmaceutical Dissolution Science (SPDS) in association with the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).
Two categories of presenting authors are Pharm.D. and M.S. students (or graduated within the last six months); and Ph.D., Post Doctoral Trainees, and Industry Professionals, including Ph.D.(s) who graduated within the last six months and Post Docs who left traineeship within the last six months. Industry professionals cannot have more than 10 years of work experience since terminal scientific degree. Only one abstract per presenting author will be accepted for the competition.
The first phase of the US event is abstract submission (deadline of July 14 2023) and evaluation. Evaluation criteria are described on the website, including potential reasons for an abstract not progressing. Some abstracts will progress, and those authors will be invited to prepare a ten-minute (maximum) recorded video presentation (deadline August 11 2023). A few candidates will be selected to give a live, online presentation on September 7 2023, at 1pm ET. The live presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session with a panel of judges. One finalist in each of the two categories may be selected to compete in the international DRPI competition, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their work on a global stage; this international event is scheduled to take place online on September 23 and 24, 2023.
The abstract deadline is July 14 2023. Abstracts can be submitted at:
