Dear PPDM Members,

Hope this email finds you well.

I hope you can feel the excitement as we approach the upcoming Pharmsci 360 meeting this weekend! The meeting marks one year since I began my tenure as Chair of PPDM and I am most appreciative of the work that we have all done to achieve the mission and vision of PPDM.

In 2023/2024, we sought to innovate (Foster new approaches in PPDM), excel (Achieve top-tier PPDM standards), and inspire (Motivate future PPDM leaders) with the overall goal of achieving our vision – Pioneering Excellence in PPDM for Global Health, and mission - We strive to create a collaborative and innovative community that shares knowledge, fosters excellence, and inspires future leaders in the field, as a community to support AAPS’ vision of advancing pharmaceutical sciences. We set out to conduct 10 webinars, 5 conference contributions, 1 scientific contribution, 1 representation in leadership, weekly community engagement, and 10%-member growth.

With your help, we achieved and exceeded that goal! In general, we held 10 webinars, 9 contributions to 2024 Pharmsci 360 conference, 3 scientific contributions (encompassing two white papers and a DMPK course under development), 5 leadership representations within AAPS, and our regular community engagement contributions. Within our PPDM community leadership members (which is all of you receiving this email now), we have also seen growth following our recruitment drive at the 2023 Pharmsci 360 meeting. Please review the attached slide deck for more details on all of these achievements.

I thank all of you, our 2024 leadership members, AAPS board mentor, Dr. Peter Swaan, and past chairs – Drs Patrick Ronaldson, Yurong Lai, and Abhisheak Sharma for all of your unwavering support. I am also delighted to share with you that Drs Pankajini Mallick and Md Masud Parvez will serve as our Chair and Vice Chair, respectively, for the 2024/2025 tenure. Congratulations to Pankajini and Masud and I believe that they will steer our community to even higher levels with our continued support.
