AAPS is honored to announce that longtime member Robert S. Langer, Sc.D., FAAPS, has been recognized as one of three 2024 Kavli Prize Laureates in Nanoscience.
Langer is recognized for his development of the first nano-engineered materials for the controlled release of drug molecules. His work in this area has resulted in advancements in treatments for aggressive brain cancer, prostate cancer, and schizophrenia. Additionally, his research into small particles that contain protein antigens has been applied to the development of mRNA vaccines.
