Dear AAPS COMMUNITIES,
I am hoping you will help me make AAPS a more welcoming, inclusive, and equitable organization.
I am volunteering on the AAPS Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI) Committee this year. Our charge is to help ensure that AAPS is a welcoming organization to all scientists; provides a transparent, inclusive experience for all members; and creates equitable access to valuable personal and professional development opportunities for all members.
My committee is now conducting a survey to learn more about the AAPS membership and how members experience and feel about the organization. We will use the results of the survey as we develop a recommendation for the Board of Directors on how the association can become more welcoming, inclusive, and equitable for all members.
The survey is anonymous. The anonymized results will be shared with my committee, the AAPS Board of Directors, AAPS' volunteer leaders, and staff. We also plan to publish an article in the AAPS Newsmagazine and make presentations at future AAPS meetings.
